What happens next

A member of staff will contact you within 10 working days. They may ask for more information and will book an appointment for a pest control visit. We aim for this to be within:

  • 3 days for rats and mice
  • 5 days for cockroaches, fleas, bed bugs and wasps
  • 7 days for other insects

We will take payment over the phone during this call.

Preparation before a bedbug appointment

If you have bedbugs, you must prepare your property before our visit.

Changing your appointment

If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours before by calling 020 7974 4444. Without notice, we cannot guarantee a full refund.

On the day of your appointment

You should make sure that:

  • the area to be treated is clear of furniture and clutter
  • a person over 18 is at the property during our visit
  • pets and young children are kept away from the area during treatment

Treatment may be affected if guidance is not followed.

Prepare your property before bedbug treatment

Bedbugs can be difficult to treat and we need you to prepare your property before our visit. If you don't take steps to prepare your property officers may be unable to complete the treatment or the treatment itself may not be effective.

Wash and dry bedding clothes

  • Strip all beds to be treated of quilts, pillows, bedclothes and sheets. Place all items in bags as soon as they are removed from the bed, and wash or launder them at a minimum temperature of between 60 to 90 degrees
  • Wash all clothing at a high temperature of between 60 to 90 degrees and dry on an outside line or in a tumble dryer for at least 30 minutes.  Dry items should then be kept in sealed, clean, plastic bags without holes.
  • Delicate clothing that cannot be hot washed or tumble dried should be dry cleaned.

If you do this, do not put these items back into the infested rooms before the rooms are treated.

Keep affected rooms warm

Try to keep affected rooms as warm as possible for up to 5 days before treatment, to encourage and enable eggs to hatch.

Clean and tidy affected rooms

  • Place the mattress or mattresses to one side if possible so we can treat the bed bases
  • Move any bedside furniture away from the wall
  • Tidy the rooms to be treated including picking up items from the floor, but do not transfer items from one room to another
  • Vacuum the whole property, especially infested rooms. This should include vacuuming mattresses and sofas. Once this has been done, remember to empty your vacuum cleaner into a plastic bag which should be tightly sealed and disposed of immediately

Pest treatment prices: residential properties
