Camden's financial support for businesses

This is the improved Camden website. Tell us what you think.

Camden's financial support for businesses

We're committed to empowering local businesses through innovative funding opportunities.

Funding our high streets

We are supporting Camden’s high streets to have a more sustainable future. We are doing this by funding projects that support our high streets.

We have made £360,000 available for innovative new high street projects. This is in Partnership with Spacehive. You will need to crowdfund half of your total project costs, and we will fund the remaining 50% (up to £35,000 a project).

We are seeking proposals from local groups. Your group must benefit Camden's high streets, businesses and residents.

To get involved or learn more with Camden Future High Streets Spacehive crowdfund.

Future Camden Fund

The Future Camden Fund supports small businesses to build a better future for Camden residents.

The fund is open to small businesses that believe they have had a positive impact on the borough.

We are particularly keen to hear from small businesses that:

  • work towards a more inclusive and sustainable economy

  • are Black and female owned, as data shows that there can be barriers to funding

Small businesses applying to the Future Camden Fund can be awarded a loan or Match Trading grant. The total fund value is £350,000.

Match Trading matches an increase in sales income with a grant. If you make an extra £1,000, we will award you another £1,000. Businesses will also have access to a package of support to help them on their journey.

We Make Camden Kit

The We Make Camden Kit is a partnership between:

  • Camden residents

  • Camden Council

  • Camden Giving

  • Camden businesses

We're funding and supporting great ideas that will make Camden a better place.

Camden Climate Fund

The Camden Climate Fund can provide up to 50% of costs to reduce the carbon used in our:

  • homes

  • businesses

  • community spaces

Measures can include:

  • insulation to reduce heat loss

  • heat pumps to provide renewable heat

  • solar photovoltaic panels to provide electricity

  • solar thermal systems to provide hot water

The Fund also offers grants to small groups of residents and community groups. This is to kickstart climate action and help deliver local carbon-saving projects.
