Camden Interfaith Network

We recognise the positive impact of faith communities and their work within the wider community. 

The Camden Interfaith Network brings together representatives from faith and community organisations to create a space for interfaith dialogue. The network aims to support and promote community cohesion. 

The network provides an opportunity to share knowledge, insights, resources and good practice, as well as highlighting issues within our communities. Faith representatives are often at the forefront of community responses, and we work in partnership to provide reassurance to and engage with communities in response to incidents. 

We meet four times a year in faith or community spaces. There are also several interfaith events throughout the year for example coffee mornings, interfaith tree planting and community iftars.

Winners of first ever Camden Faith and Belief Awards announced

In May 2024, Camden’s Interfaith Network, in partnership with The Faith and Belief Forum, held the borough’s first ever Faith and Belief Awards ceremony.

The awards held at Camden Town Hall was an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the tremendous contributions of our local voluntary, community and faith organisations in Camden.

We have over 1200 voluntary, community and faith organisations in Camden, each very active in bringing communities together, tackling a range of social issues and improving the lives of residents. 

Residents and organisations got the chance to nominate projects, individuals and organisations who had gone above and beyond to support residents. The categories included:

  • Building connected communities and neighbourhoods 
  • Tackling poverty 
  • Welcoming and supporting refugees 
  • Inspiring children and young people 
  • Outstanding individuals

Forty-nine projects, individuals and organisations were recognised at the prestigious ceremony, which included performances by the Belsize Square Synagogue quartet and Tenzin Choenyi and Tenzin Choekyi, from the Martsang Kagyu UK Buddhist Centre.
