Cycling in Camden
Cycling is a fantastic way to save money, keep fit and to do your bit for the environment at the same time.
Travelling by bike is a great way to explore the city, or to get to work or school. We have many resources and schemes available to help making cycling in the borough a pleasant and safe experience.

The Mayor’s Cycle Vision for London
In March 2013 the Mayor of London launched his Vision for Cycling in London, which sets outs plans to transform the role of cycling in the capital. To deliver this the Mayor announced £913million investment for cycling over the next 10 years.

Part of the Mayor’s Cycle Vision is a proposed new Central London Cycling Grid - a network of cycle routes through central London and the City. We are interested in seeking your views on the proposed routes that will run through Camden.
Cycling has grown significantly in recent years, and on some streets it is the highest used mode of transport. But there are many people who want to cycle but don’t. By offering a range of different types of routes, from direct fast commuter routes and segregation, such as the Mayor’s Cycle Superhighways to quieter back streets, the Vision aims to deliver routes which can be ridden by anyone, of any age, any ability, and from any walk of life.
Camden is committed to helping to deliver the Mayor’s Vision: it offers an exciting opportunity for the borough to achieve its objectives and targets.
