The Camden Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA)

The Camden PNA for 2018 has now been published. Please find the full report below. The PNA was produced in partnership with the Camden Public Health department, Camden CCG, and the Local Pharmaceutical Committee on behalf of Camden Health and Wellbeing Board.

The PNA looks at the current provision of pharmacies in Camden and how well they meet residents’ needs. It includes information on each of the pharmacies in the borough, including their opening hours, the types of services offered, and how frequently the services are used. We have looked at this information by different areas of the borough to ensure that people across the borough all have access to pharmacies when and where they need them. The next PNA for Camden is due to be published in 2021.

We have concluded that Camden’s pharmacy provision is suitable and that there is sufficient capacity in the system to meet the needs of Camden’s population as it continues to grow. We have also identified that there are opportunities for improvement, including ensuring that people are aware of available pharmacy services and opening hours, and addressing the areas where pharmacies can increase the provision of key public health programmes, such as the Healthy Living Pharmacy.
