Pharmaceutical needs assessment
This is Camden Health and Wellbeing Board’s first Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA), published in March 2015. The Needs Assessment is a responsibility of the Health and Wellbeing Board, and was produced in collaboration by the Public Health department, Camden Clinical Commissioning Group, the Local Pharmaceutical Committee, and Health Watch Camden.
The PNA assesses the need for community pharmacies, and the services that they are commissioned to deliver. It is used by NHS England as a part of the market entry process, as well as by Camden Council and Camden Clinical Commissioning Group to inform commissioning decisions.

In the Needs Assessment you will find a description of the PNA and the process of its development, a detailed description of the health needs of Camden's population, at a borough and locality level, analysis of the services currently being delivered through Camden's network of community pharmacies as well as feedback from residents through a series of focus groups. The Needs Assessment also includes plans for future services, and a report from the public consultation which took place in October - December 2014.
