The trees team in parks and open spaces is responsible for the maintenance of trees on council owned land. This includes trees in the street, housing, schools and parks.

The conservation and design team are responsible for trees that are covered by tree preservation orders or are within a conservation area on private land
Through tree preservation orders we give legal protection to certain trees or woodland. A conservation area is an area of special architectural or historic interest. Permission may be needed to for works to trees covered by these
