What’s happening in Camden's libraries?

The future of libraries

By 2017 Camden’s funding from central government will have been cut in half. With less money available, we will have to find different ways to deliver our services. We are inviting your ideas on how we can do things differently.

During Sumer 2015, we will be embarking on a formal consultation about how we might make savings to our Library Service. Ahead of this formal consultation, we are inviting ideas and views on the service. You might have an idea on how we can save money, where we might prioritise our resources, or how we can get better value for money for our libraries by getting more people to visit.

Please visit Camden Future Libraries and give us your ideas and comments (you will need an up-to-date browser).

A Literary Bestiary at Swiss Cottage Library 9 June at 8pm.

We are delighted to host this event.  An immersive short story show on the theme of curious creatures in which live literature meets theatre and live art.  Tickets cost  £10 on the door. Produced by Ark and supported by the Arts Council.

Bank Holidays

The next bank holiday is Monday 31 August. All libraries will close and re-open on Tuesday 1 September.

You don’t need to visit a library reserve a book, film or DVD, manage your account or renew your library items.
