What is neighbourhood planning?

Communities can influence the future of their neighbourhood by preparing a neighbourhood plan that sets out the vision for their local area and general planning policies to guide developments.

Latest neighbourhood planning news

  • The Council has formally agreed to the recommendations set out in the Hampstead Neighbourhood Plan Examiner’s Report. The Plan will now proceed to a referendum on 21st June. To view the Plan and supporting documents, please see Hampstead Neighbourhood Plan
  • The Council (and Haringey Council) has agreed to re-designate the Highgate Neighbourhood Forum for a further five year period. The decision was made on 26th March. A decision on the application for the renewal of the Kentish Town Neigbourhood Forum will be made by the Council in June.
