Improving green spaces and wildlife
We're here to conserve and enhance the natural environment, promote biodiversity and give communities opportunities to interact with and learn about nature.
Biodiversity or biological diversity is a term used to describe 'the variety of life'. This includes the range of plants, animals and all the places where they're found. It is the diversity of life on Earth, from genes to whole ecosystems.

Report your wildlife sightings
When you notice wildlife coming into your garden or street, it would be very helpful if you could report this on the Greenspace Information for Greater London (GIGL) website, as this will give a more complete picture of activity across Camden.
GIGL is the capital's open space and biodiversity records centre, collecting information on London's wildlife, parks, nature reserves, gardens and other open spaces.
