Children’s Trust Partnership Board

Camden’s Children’s Trust Partnership Board (CTPB) is responsible for developing the local strategy for improving children’s lives by delivering better services across the whole system in Camden.

Children’s Trusts are local partnerships which bring together the organisations responsible for services for children, young people and families in a shared commitment to improving children’s lives.

In Camden the CTPB is chaired by the Cabinet Member for Children, Councillor Angela Mason CBE, and members include representatives of Camden Council, Westminster Kingsway College, the Metropolitan Police, Jobcentre Plus, Camden NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, Camden and Islington Public Health, Voluntary Action Camden and schools.

The CTPB is responsible for delivering the priorities agreed in 'Change for Children and Families', our latest children and young people’s plan. This plan ran from 2012-2015 so partners are currently refreshing it for the years ahead and a new plan will be launched shortly.

Safeguarding

Camden Safeguarding Children Board (CSCB) oversees our local arrangements for safeguarding, promotes the welfare of children and ensures we are delivering on our children and young people’s plan priorities to keep children safe.

In December 2012, Ofsted piloted a new multi-agency inspection process in Camden. The inspection report found all aspects of our safeguarding arrangements to be good:

Resilience and the Camden Plan

Camden Children’s Trust Partnership Board is strongly focused on overseeing delivery of the Resilient Families programme, including Early Help services, and also works closely with the local Health and Wellbeing Board, as well as aligning priorities with the Camden Plan to ensure a strong focus on improving outcomes for children in Camden.
