Parking permission

What is a parking permission?

The parking permission is intended to be used by builders and other trades people engaged in work for local residents who require an on-street parking space for their vehicle.

Where can I park?

The parking permission allows you to park in resident permit holder bays, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm or on single yellow lines* at any time (provided that loading restrictions are not in force) in up to three streets that you must specify when making your application. Parking permissions can not be used on Red Route roads (such as Camden Road).

There are a few exceptions to this though so please make sure that you read the terms and conditions before applying for and using a parking permission.

Parking permissions can be issued for periods of up to three months at any one time, but please note that they are non-refundable and do not guarantee a parking space in the street in which the work is taking place.

*except in Hampstead where there are only double yellow lines.

Vehicles

A parking permission is only valid for one vehicle and is not transferable.

How much does it cost?

A parking permission is £34.60 per day and is non-refundable.

Weddings and funerals

Parking permissions are available free of charge for up to 10 vehicles when needed for a funeral and up to 5 vehicles for a wedding.

You will need to supply evidence when applying for a parking permission for a funeral or wedding. Please refer to the terms and conditions for details.

How do I apply?

You do not have to provide evidence (unless you are applying for a free parking permission for a wedding or funeral) so complete your application, make payment and print off your parking permission – no forms, no fuss.

Please be aware that due to the disruption of HS2 we cannot guarantee parking permissions in our Regents Park ward.
