Reduce junk mail

Five easy steps to reduce junk mail

  1. Register online with the Mailing Preference Service (MPS) to have your name and address removed from nearly 95% of mailing lists. Registration is completely free.
  2. Email Royal Mail at to opt out of unaddressed mail. Don’t worry, you’ll still get all your important mailings, such as electoral information. For more information visit the Royal Mail Opt Out Service website.
  3. Display a ’No Junk Mail’ sticker to stop those unwanted flyers. Get your free ‘Say No to Junk Mail’ action pack from our partners at North London Waste.
  4. Avoid joining new mailing lists. Remember to tick the box to say you don’t want to receive mailings from other organisations.
  5. Sign up to paperless billing.

If any other forms of junk mail happen to slip through the net, don’t forget to recycle them:
