Neighbourhood planning Area and Forum applications

Kentish Town renewal of neighbourhood forum

The Kentish Town Neighbourhood Forum has applied to Camden Council to be formally re-designated as a neighbourhood forum, in accordance with the Town and Country Planning Act (1990) and neighbourhood planning regulations. This Forum was established in 2013 and after 5 years of operation must now apply to be re-designated.

The Council is consulting residents and other interested stakeholders on this application. The application includes the Forum’s Constitution.

If the application is agreed by the Councils, the Kentish Town Neighbourhood Forum can make modifications to the Neighbourhood Plan for the area or prepare a replacement Plan. A neighbourhood plan is a statutory planning document setting out general planning policies for the development and use of land in a neighbourhood. Camden Council adopted the current Kentish Town Neighbourhood Plan in 2016. The designated neighbourhood planning area is shown in the application – no changes to the area are being proposed.

Any comments should relate to whether the Forum should be designated as a neighbourhood Forum for another five years. This consultation does not relate to the adopted Kentish Town Neighbourhood Plan.

Representations can be made by e-mail to:
