Registering for council tax
You can register for council tax online using a Camden Account. By signing up to a Camden Account and registering for council tax you can quickly and simply tell us you are moving into the borough, set up a direct debit payment for your council tax, apply for resident and visitor parking permits and check when your bins are collected.
If you do not wish to sign up for a Camden Account you can register for council tax and set up a direct debit payment for your council tax using the online moving in form.

If you have lived in Camden before and used a Camden Account to manage your council tax you do not have to register for a new Camden Account. Please use the online moving in form. After filling in the online moving in form we will register you for council tax and send you a council tax reference number. Once we have sent you a council tax reference number your latest council tax information will be available in the Camden Account you used when you lived here before.
Information to register for council tax
To register for council tax you will need the following information:
•The address of the property you are moving into
•If you rent the property the date your tenancy started
•If you rent the property the name of your Landlord
•The date you actually moved into the property
•Whether the property was left furnished or unfurnished to you
•The name of anyone moving in with you who is over 18
