The London Bed and Breakfast Agency (www.londonbb.com) is offering an opportunity to a 16 to 24 year old Camden resident (who are eligible to work in the UK and without a degree) to become an Apprentice Administration Assistant.

As a long-established Agency with many years experience, the London Bed and Breakfast Agency provide a professional, fast and efficient service. The small team enjoy what they do and care about where people stay in London.

This is a great role within a very friendly, informal environment. London Bed and Breakfast Agency are looking for an apprentice with a good telephone manner and good typing and computer skills, who is keen to take on responsibility and learn all aspects of running a small business.

If you are looking to gain office experience and confidence in a small environment before moving onto a bigger workplace, this could be the role for you.

Camden Council's Digital Partnerships team is recruiting an Apprentice Project Support Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for you to train, earn and learn. Camden Council works in partnership with the Department of Communities and Local Government on the Digital Partnerships Programme. They are offering an opportunity to a 16 to 24 year old Camden resident (who is eligible to work in the UK and without a degree) to become an Apprentice Project Support Officer.

Camden residents and businesses use the DirectGov website to find and access local services. The team working on the Digital Partnerships Programme keep the website up-to-date and ensure local services can be easily accessed online. The team uses project based ways of working and the apprentice will learn how to apply these methods to their work and support the team by doing administrative duties.

Please note this role is based in Victoria.

  • Contract length: 12 months
  • Salary: £4.80 per hour
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (36 hours per week)

FGUK Research is recruiting an Apprentice Research Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for you to train, earn and learn. FGUK Research Ltd (www.focusgroupsuk.com) is offering an opportunity to a 16 to 24 year old Camden resident to become an Apprentice Research Administrator! Whilst you are working at FGUK you will also work towards and complete a level 2 apprenticeship in Business Administration.

Focus Groups UK help recruit participants for market research studies. They target different groups of people to make up focus groups to test ideas, products or services. As an Apprentice Research Administrator you will work for the Qualitative research team. Qualitative research tries to understand the reasons behind human behaviour. It helps organisations understand how people feel about their product or service.

In this role you will help find the right people for focus groups and help organise them by: posting projects on the website, checking applications to make sure applicants meet the criteria, phoning applicants to check details and inviting them into focus groups. You will also update social media and other marketing materials. If you do well within the role, you will then work with clients directly and learn to manage projects from the initial project set up to billing the clients.

The Details

  • Contract length: 12 months initially, with a chance to progress to becoming a project manager if you do well
  • Salary: £4 per hour (approximately £7,300 per year)
  • Based: Regent Street, London
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm, 35 hours per week

The office of Camden Council's Chief Executive is recruiting an Apprentice Executive Assistant

We have an exciting new opportunity for you to train, earn and learn. The office of Camden Council’s Chief Executive is offering an opportunity to a 16 to 24 year old Camden resident to become an Executive Assistant Apprentice. Through the apprenticeship you will gain practical experience working for Camden Council whilst pursuing a Business Administration Apprenticeship qualification at Level 2.

You will work with the Executive Assistant team which supports the Chief Executive and other senior staff across two departments. You will support the team by providing diary support and preparing senior officers for their meetings. You will also assist the team in answering queries and correspondence from internal and external customers via letter, email and phone. This is a unique position that will enable you to understand how the Council is run and its priorities.

The details

  • Salary: £4.80 per hour for 6 months, rising to £5.28 per hour based on performance and passing probation.
  • Based in: Camden Town Hall
  • Hours: 9-5pm Monday-Friday (36 hours per week)
  • Duration: 12 month contract with Camden Council with a possibility of extension and progression to Level 3 if you do well
  • Closing date: Monday 24th June 2013
  • Selection day: w/c 1st July 2013
  • Interviews will be held on: w/c 8th July 2013 (followed by work-trial for preferred candidate)

  • Annual salary: £6.19 per hour (approx £12,500 per year)

You’ll work under the guidance of a team to develop support work skills including key-working, undertaking assessment of needs/risk assessments, supporting action plans and developing links with key agencies. You’ll attend college one day per month to successfully complete Level 2 Health & Social Care apprenticeship.

Kidsunlimited is recruiting 3 Advanced Childcare Apprentices (Level 3) to work in their nurseries in Islington and Camden. The 3 Apprentices will work towards achieving the Children’s and Young Peoples Workforce Advanced Apprenticeship supported by Hawk Training. Kidsunlimited day nurseries have over 25 years of childcare experience. Staff are supported with a detailed induction and continuous training and development opportunities. Kidsunlimited supports staff to achieve relevant childcare qualifications through to Early Years Professional Status.

The focus of the role will be supporting the administration team. However, you will also have the opportunity to be involved with tasks and projects involving human resources, legal services, facilities management, finance, reception, ICT and the school library.

The Details

  • Contract length: 18 months
  • Project Support role within the Careers Education, Business and Enterprise team is a full time role with 20 days paid holiday per year.
  • Project Support role within the School Administration team is a term time only role.Qualification: Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration
  • Hours: 35 hours per week. 8.30am – 4.00pm with half an hour for lunch.
